The all-round style enthusiast is popular on the fashion circuit—whether it’s a couture show or a soirée, far be it from her to miss out on the action at a party like the Met Gala. To match up to the theatrics on the red carpet, Poonawalla chose a gown that came with a crystal embellished minidress worn with a detachable draped skirt in icy blue. A silver belt helped cinch the look together. Poonwalla’s look was rounded off with a diamond maang tikka and tie-up shoes.
This year saw not one but four Indian personalities at the Met Gala. Priyanka Chopra who along with Nick Jonas was on the Benefit Committee, Deepika Padukone and Isha Ambani were amongst the prominent names spotted this evening. The theme for the gala this year was “Camp: Notes on Fashion” a play on Susan Sontag’s iconic essay “Notes on Camp”.
